Four tornadoes touched down in Hampton and Colleton counties killing five and injuring 60 in Hampton County. In Colleton County, tornados were responsible for killing one. They also destroyed or uprooted hundreds of trees, many of which fell on houses. Hundreds of homes also sustained wind damage from the tornados.
The tornados were responsible for significant damage across the area. Residents are without power, powerlines are down, homes are destroyed, roadways are full of debris, and buildings have significant damage.
